There is a surprise bonus team being included in Madden NFL 13 which goes by the name 'Canton Greats'. Coached by a young John Madden on the sideline the team features a mix of legends and current superstars. Home field is Fawcett Stadium (Hall of Fame Field) and they have their own unique uniforms. Because depth charts were inaccessible with the E3 build it's unclear if the starting lineups contain all the legends or if others are present - and whether any more legends obtained (via pre-ord...

Over at Tradition Sports Online they were able to gather all the team ratings for NCAA Football 13 - Overall, Offense, Defense, and Prestige ranking. Check out the entire list here. The numbers are so outrageously high that the accuracy had to be questioned but they were pulled right off video of the game at E3. 30 teams are rated 90 or above. Topping out at 99 overall are LSU, Oregon, Texas, USC, and Wisconsin. Close behind at 97 overall are Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Mich...

Look for the others to start being posted this evening and throughout the rest of the week. This batch features opening intros for the Bills vs Patriots and Redskins vs Colts and gameplay segments with the Patriots @ Bills, Cowboys @ Eagles, and Bronc...

EA Sports made a splash yesterday by announcing the "Infinity Engine" and Connected Careers for Madden NFL 13. The latter really isn't on display at E3 - nor would it really be feasible to play through in such an environment - so the former is getting most of the glory and rightfully so. The physics-driven engine isn't completely changing the way Madden plays but it is definitely enhancing it to a great degree.  (more…)...

EA Sports has announced that the demo for NCAA Football 13 will be out within the next couple days. It features three different matchups with each having (four) three minute quarters: USC vs Oregon, LSU vs Alabama, and Kansas State vs Baylor - as well as one Heisman Challenge game with Robert Griffin III. "Sharing" the demo over XBL or PSN will unlock five Nike Pro Combat uniforms for use in the retail version: LSU, Navy, Stanford, Boise State, and Ohio State. (Update) The demo is out no...

The "monumental change to gameplay" for Madden NFL 13 won't be reflected at all in NCAA Football 13 despite the two products attempting to have more synergy than ever before. I've received confirmation that the "Infinity Engine" that was announced for Madden 13 earlier today will not be featured in NCAA 13.  (more…)...
  • Connected Careers for Madden NFL 13

The reveal of NHL 13's GM Connected mode did in fact largely spoil that of Connected Careers for Madden NFL 13. The mode essentially combines standard Franchise, Online Franchise, and Superstar Modes into a single initiative with the user choosing to be a player, control a team in a traditional manner or as a coach, and even integrates legends as an option to choose from to run through a career with. Up to 32 teams can be user-controlled so again this is an expansion on what Online Franch...
