Though NCAA Football 13 was largely overshadowed at E3 by Madden NFL 13 the move to release the demo during the event paid some dividends for EA Sports. NCAA may not be the the innovative product this year but the improvements that were made do seem to be resonating once the opportunity arises to actually play the game. Madden NFL 13 has had a strong run up until now by marketing improvements that were attractive to the hardcore crowd whether that be addressing gameplay deficiencies from the past, attempting to improve commentary, adding the "Infinity Engine" physics, or evolving Franchise and Superstar with the revolutionary new "Connected Careers". It was only a matter of time though before some element of the game would draw hostile reaction and that has come with what is lacking in "Connected Careers" a...

EA Sports today rolled out details on Road to Glory career mode for NCAA Football 13. The criticism towards "Reaction Time" when it was introduced with the Hesiman Challenge was significant and that isn't likely to change here given how it's being presented as the main new feature for Road to Glory though accompanied by more worthwhile enhancemenets. EA Sports has struggled with communicating just what Connected Careers in Madden NFL 13 is all about and going with a new name to reflect the revolutionary advancement is playing a big part in that. Confusion still abounds from those believing the company has "removed Franchise mode" and any recognition of what is actually being offered remains cloudy at best. Essentially being a "Coach" in Connected Careers is what Franchise mode used to be while choosing to be a "Player" is more along t...

In terms of news NCAA Football 13 hasn't been faring all too well lately. EA Sports pushed out the demo for the game five weeks prior to release hoping to distract from all the big Madden NFL 13 announcements and subsequent buzz - and by giving consumers their hands-on experience with NCAA 13 that the improvements would be evident and perceived as a worthwhile upgrade from last year regardless of what is going on with Madden. Now that the demo has been out for a few days how do you feel a...
