Those disappointed with NCAA Football 13 should take solace in the fact that even the usually forgiving major media sites have turned on the product this year. NCAA 13 is the lowest the series has come in since Metacritic has been tracking it with a current score of just 76 and just the second time an entry has come in under 80. Fight Songs Could End Up Being Patched Into NCAA Football 13
The saga over missing fight songs in NCAA Football 13 continues with the latest piece from Kotaku that follows additional correspondence had with a rep from Baylor University. Now comes word that EA Sports has discussed the possibility of patching fight songs back in should whatever issues are present ultimately be resolved.
A licensing agency would appear to be the culprit in the matter - but that still wouldn't explain the lack of communication from EA Sports towards the institutions...
Baylor Unsure Why Their Fight Song is Missing in NCAA Football 13
Over the weekend Owen Good at Kotaku published a piece covering the discovery that numerous fight songs are missing from NCAA Football 13. It was puzzling in that several of those in question were included in the series in previous years and were now gone without explanation - and especially curious that it seemed concentrated in the Texas schools.

NCAA Football 13: Hits and Misses
It wasn't long ago that the NCAA Football series was the football product from EA Sports that took risks and innovated. In fact, many perceived NCAA to be the testing ground for Madden, and that had its benefits and share of drawbacks. Madden played it safe to try and placate a significantly larger userbase while NCAA was able to target what college football fans and those passionate about the series wanted.
Roles between those two franchises however have reversed in the last couple years...

Online Play for NCAA Football 13 can be defined as a strength while still being indicative of the larger problem being faced by the series. NCAA Football 13 Online Dynasty Website
EA Sports launched a revamp of the Online Dynasty website early this year for NCAA Football 12. The functionality of the site hasn't changed for NCAA Football 13 but it would be new to those who had moved on from NCAA 12 prior to the upgrade or who's first experience taking advantage of it will be with NCAA 13. (more…)...
