Blitz: The League II Impressions

Madden and NFL Head Coach 09 Patch Updates
The patches for Madden 09 and NFL Head Coach 09 have been in certification testing with Microsoft and Sony for some time now so here is the latest on where we are at with those. (Updated) Madden 09 will be receiving its second patch at 5am ET on Tuesday morning. It should be arriving for both the 360 and PS3. NFL Head Coach 09 Roster Update #2
The second roster update for NFL Head Coach 09 is now out for both the PS3 and 360. It includes a ton rating increases/decreases, health changes, and added players. There are also transactions that were completed for the update but they are not included in this list. NFL Head Coach 09 Patch Details
NFL Head Coach 09 producer Josh Looman has confirmed that a patch will be coming for the game via a post on the official forum. The patch is still being worked on which essentially would put it at least a month away from going live. Among the issues being addressed are the two widely seen as the biggest, that is the play creator bug within career mode that led to injuries never healing and the ability to call plays during a two minute drill. Importing Plays In Madden from Head Coach
The integration between NFL Head Coach 09 and Madden 09 is limited to the exporting of plays from Head Coach to Madden. I wanted to try this out in an effort to see how easily it can be done and how well it works. What I found is that it's relatively easy but doesn't work exactly as expected. NFL Head Coach 09 Online Play Impressions
NFL Head Coach 09 decided to go the unique route of using a supersim setup for online play. Thoughts on this decision seemed to be split. Most people would prefer to watch the plays and have full coach control, but in turn that would lead to a time commitment upwards of an hour. Most of my time spent today was through online. Producer Josh Looman has made the basic details of the first roster update for NFL Head Coach 09 available. As stated in the Q&A the plan is for another update during the opening week of the NFL season and then a new one every two weeks.
