Alright so I was out most of the day today. I made sure to get the 4th installment of the Campus Legend series up before I left. Now that I'm settling back in, here is what you have to look forward to. Campus Legend updates: Working towards getting part 5 up late tonight. Goal is to have parts 6 and 7 on Monday. These will continue beyond release, just not at the same pace I'm rolling them out at now. Eventually Padre will be moved to Madden's Superstar mode. So you'll want to follow alo...

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 This recap will go over the results of Padre's first three collegiate games. There was one cool clip that I had but the game said that the file was corrupted so that is lost for good.  Being the nickel CB, Padre is generally only on the field in passing situations. Maybe gets in for on average 1-5 defensive plays per drive. He also plays on special teams, covering and blocking on kicks and punts. (more…)...

Part 1 - Part 2 With the opportunity of playing for the State Championship looming, Padre knew he had to step up his play. He did just that on the first play of the game by getting his first INT of the High School tournament. However after that things didn't go quite as planned. I had actually wondered if they had made it so your school advances to at least the Championship game. Well I know now, as Padre High fell to Tukwila 10-7. Continue on for some video clips from the game and the fir...
  • A look at the positional camera angles for Campus Legend

This year EA has worked a lot to make the experience in the former Race for the Heisman (now Campus Legend) and Madden Superstar modes much more enjoyable. One of the biggest complaints has been the camera angles. Originally RFTH and Madden had your guy on the field but you played the game like normal. Then they switched over to having position specific cameras and locking you into your individual. The camera angles specifically for Madden last year were atrocious and made playing most if not a...

Part 1 Originally my plan was that my next Campus Legend update would recap the rest of the High School experience. Once I played the very next game though I saw some cool things that I wanted to put in a new highlight video which you can find at the end of this write-up. I hope to cover the rest of High School and the start of the college experience with the next posting, which could come as early as Saturday evening but definitely by Sunday morning. Padre High took on Federal Way in the ...
  • NCAA Football 08 impressions

***I'll be updating this with impressions. At least one time on Sunday and another on Monday. I may be able to squeeze an extra one or two in there also. So check back every day for the latest.  (7/14 - AM) Coming out of the demo I really wasn't very enthusiastic about NCAA Football. It just didn't do much for me, especially when seeing how Madden seems to be shaping up better than ever. The 60fps clearly was a huge improvement, and there were several gameplay additi...

*Click the thumbnails throughout to view the full size images. Highlight video follows at the end. Pasta Padre's legend in NCAA Football 08 begins in High School. He chose to begin there rather than taking on the place of a current college player. First was creating his background and position as well as his look. There are a ton of real cities available to choose from as the hometown. The uniform options were pretty standard. Not a great variety in player faces despite having something like...
