The contest held at Vetzballin regarding the week four online dynasty game between DJ Rhude (Syracuse) and Rac (UCF) is now complete as Rac was victorious 35-14. The game was set to be recorded however technical difficulties prevented that from occurring. That is unfortunate given that it sounds as though it would've been entertaining to watch. The winner of the NCAA Football 09 360 faceplate and a copy of Nascar 09 courtesy of Vetzballin will be announced later today (update: added here). ...

Vetzballin has opened up an easy to enter contest offering to the winner an NCAA Football 09 Xbox 360 faceplate and a copy of Nascar 09 for either the 360 or PS3. DJ Rhude, who is currently involved in the online media dynasty, will be facing EA Community Manager Will "Rac" Kinsler in their week four matchup. While the media dynasty has been a dud so far (maybe all the media sites are saving their thoughts on it for reviews) this looks to spice things up a bit with some trash talking between t...

After the overwhelming response of interest in the official NCAA Football 09 online dynasty for the site it was a very difficult process to determine the 11 that were to be selected. It really crushed me to have to select only a handful when so many members of the community wanted to be involved. I appreciate everyone taking the time to post a comment or discuss the dynasty in the forum. My hope is that even if you were not selected you'll enjoy following along with the updates (both on the...

With the release of NCAA Football 09 quickly approaching it is now time to start preparing for the official Pastapadre Online Dynasty on the 360. Here are some of the details on what to expect. The dynasty will begin the Monday after the game is released. I'll be featuring the dynasty on the site with regular updates which will include screenshots and highlight clips from EA Sports World. Other participants will be welcome to submit the same in the forum and I will put the best videos up al...

Night games in the NCAA Football 09 demo? Apparently there are if you set your console's date to November or December. Both the standard play now game and the mascot game will take place at night if you do so. Thanks to NCAA Strategies for this info. EA Sports has released a recruiting guide for NCAA Football 09. The three pages cover the basics of recruiting. You can check it out in PDF form by clicking here. The best addition to recruiting this year should be the "Quick Call" which will t...

I went ahead and put together two videos from the NCAA Football 09 demo. The first is essentially a mash-up of some of the better plays in the first couple runs through the demo. The second is a full game start to finish. In both I am controlling LSU so I plan to add a user vs user video in the near future. It is somewhat tough to compare the demo to the builds I played at the community events, mostly because I never played a single time on Varsity difficulty. As I get more time in I may be...

The demo for NCAA Football 09 is now available for the Xbox 360 and as of this afternoon it is up for the PS3. The demo features LSU vs Ohio State and a mascot game with the Gators vs Longhorns. Both games have two minute quarters and are played on varsity difficulty level. Feel free to leave your impressions of the demo in the comments or discuss the game in the forum. I'll be posting up some videos from the demo this evening along with thoughts in general after the significant hands-on ti...

Only a day after the launch of the upgraded EA Sports World comes disappointing news. In late April NCAA Football 09 producer Ben Haumiller had an interview with Gametap where he talked about the game and added the following information about online dynasty. “Our full stat tracking that goes in for dynasty will be in the online version,” Haumiller explains, “and we’re also working with EA Sports World to get our stats displayed on the Web as well. You’re going to be able to see your...
