Earlier this evening I speculated that the "Every Game Counts" motto for NCAA Football 10 would tie into a big new feature or mode. What that is has actually just been revealed in the press release announcement for the game. True to the tradition of the award-winning franchise, NCAA Football 10 continues to push the bar on innovation with new online modes. NCAA Football 10 brings the excitement of college football to fans across the nation like never before with its new...

The official website for NCAA Football 10 went live earlier this evening. Normally this isn't that significant of an event however this time the website has provided some new information on the game. Despite earlier indications there will be different cover athletes for each version of NCAA this year. "Four covers, Four athletes, Four schools." The covers will be announced in 32 days which would mean Sunday April 19th. The motto for this year is "Every Game Counts" which surely ties in...

A new posting on the Inside EA Blog details an upcoming community event for NCAA Football 10 and how the philosophy and ultimate intentions of these events have changed over the years. EA Sports has especially engaged the community over the last five years or so and now SCEA has begun to do so with The Show. Both companies have recognized that the community is valuable not only as consumers but also as a resource for making their games better. Why tell you about the event if you won't hear ...

The latest Inside EA Blog posting for NCAA Football 10 discusses the addition of custom conferences in dynasty mode. This applies both to offline dynasties as well as online ones. You can read all about it and see additional screenshots here. However, sometimes it’s not that easy, sometimes it can be next to impossible to find a conference with the right mix of teams to make everyone happy. Well in NCAA Football 10 we have made life easier on commissioners across the nation with the addit...
  • Super Sim in NCAA Football 10

    Posted March 6th, 2009 at 11:11 am 52 Comments »
This week's NCAA Football 2010 update focuses on the improvements being made to the Super Sim feature for this year. Those improvements include a new way of presenting it, proper CPU clock management, and the ability to skip plays in Campus Legend. You can read about it on the Inside EA Blog here. I'm definitely happy to find that you'll be able to sim through any Campus Legend plays you don't want to participate in. I remember how annoying it was to have to cover kickoffs. This also open...

In the second blog focused on NCAA Football 10, designer Adam Thompson goes over some of the new additions to the game that would be considered as small but authentic details. Included are field goal nets, camera flashes, and team specific bowl endzones. You can read the full posting on the Inside EA Blog which includes a few screenshots here. Before we had to use  a single piece of art for every field. With 120 teams and 38 bowl and championship games there was no way to create a field fo...
  • Top NCAA Football 10 Cover Athlete Candidates
    by

With EA Sports already beginning to roll out some info on NCAA Football 2010 I thought it would be time to look at the top candidates for the cover this year. From what I've been able to gather EA won't be attempting to repeat last year's experiment of a different cover athlete for each platform. Instead it appears they are going back to the standard single cover athlete. The only defensive player to ever be on the cover of the NCAA Football franchise was Charles Woodson and there doesn't...

Again the EA Sports Community Blog has come through with an intriguing posting. This time it is the first screenshot from a work-in-progress NCAA Football 10. Given that we would not normally get a look at the game this early in the year it is more of a glimpse or a tease than the standard screens that are usually put on display. Still it is exciting to get a little something already considering I'm still going strong with NCAA 09 with multiple Online Dynasties. Click here to head over to...
