Chris Jacobs from ncaaStrategies and I got together for a quick midday podcast from NYC. After having attended the EA Sports Preview Event we are now heading out to the Draft Premiere Event. Continue to send me questions for Erin Andrews and the athletes (Crabtree, Curry, Sanchez, Stafford, B. Johnson, Orakpo, M. Jenkins, Moreno) here and on Twitter where you can follow along for additional opportunities and pictures from the event throughout the night. In the podcast we discuss the four ...

This morning EA Sports announced the final cover athlete for NCAA Football 10 as Texas Tech WR Michael Crabtree. He will be on the cover of the Xbox 360 version and joins Brian Orakpo (PS2), Mark Sanchez (PSP), and Brian Johnson (PS3). Also there is now additional information on the Teambuilder mode that had been speculated upon. As expected it is deeper than just simple create-a-school. NCAA Football 10 introduces TeamBuilder, an all-new, online create-a-school feature that will enhance...

The official announcements are only a couple hours away but most of the covers for NCAA Football 10 are out. Gamestop has posted up all of them except the 360 version. On the PSP it is USC QB Mark Sanchez and the PS2 is Texas DE/OLB Brian Orakpo. Already known was Utah QB Brian Johnson who captured the PS3 version. I'll be updating this posting when the final cover athlete is revealed. All signs point to that being Michael Crabtree. Thanks for bryan121 for the tip. Update: Despite EA a...

Over at ncaaStrategies they've come across the placeholder box for NCAA Football 10 that is being put on display by Gamestop. The box lists out a few of the features of the game. While some of them have already been discussed there are a couple that as of yet had not. You can check out the details and view a picture of the box over at ncaaStrategies by clicking here. The one that will likely get the most attention is the return of Create-A-School. Its inclusion has been speculated upon ho...

Creating and then keeping current over 150 stadiums is a monumental task. The latest posting on the Inside EA Blog details the alterations made to the stadiums and the new ones that have been added for NCAA Football 10. Included are comparison screens and some fly-over videos. You can check it all out here. To fans of the teams in question this posting is certainly significant. The authenticity of stadiums is a big thing to fans and it's good to see the NCAA team detailing out the work they'v...

While the official announcements of the four cover athletes for NCAA Football 10 won't be made until Monday one of them is already known. Boucher1234 sent me a tweet this morning that Utah Utes QB Brian Johnson had dropped the news on a Mountain West focused TV show. Johnson is someone who would've seemed unlikely when it came to predicting but the choice does make sense. He isn't a household name but he did help lead Utah to an undefeated season and a win over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. ...

The news for NCAA Football 10 has been somewhat lackluster but that feeling may change after the announcement today that Erin Andrews will be included in the game as a sideline reporter. She already appears as the third member of the announcing team in the NCAA Basketball series. Erin Andrews is the newest addition to the NCAA Football 10 broadcast team, joining Kirk Herbstreit, Brad Nessler and Lee Corso in a game that envelopes the excitement and pageantry of college football at its best...

With EA Sports holding an NCAA Football 10 event in NY leading up to the NFL Draft it would only make sense that the cover athletes of the four versions of the game would be in town. Last year all of them (Matt Ryan, Darren McFadden, DeSean Jackson, and Owen Schmidt) were in attendance along with a few others. The following players have been invited by the NFL to attend the draft: Matthew Stafford, Josh Freeman, Brian Cushing, Aaron Curry, Michael Crabtree, Eugene Monroe, Michael Oher, Br...
