ESPN today released another Monday Night Football sim with footage from next-gen Madden NFL 25. The first one with Dolphins @ Saints was so poorly received that EA Sports and ESPN skipped last week's sim seemingly in an effort to produce something more impressive. That video probably did more damage to the perception of the product than the hands-on impressions (check out the most recent Press Row Hangout and Podcast for talk of that) which have described the game as not much different than cu...

The polls posted a few days ago to gauge how consumers are now approaching the upcoming next-gen sports games shows that each of them are in a completely unique place. NBA 2K14 looks to be the most anticipated even though nothing is known about it, FIFA 14 carries strong support for the transition, Madden NFL 25 has stumbled as of late, and NBA Live 14 remains a product yet to provide any reason for consumers to consider it.  (more…)...

With only five weeks until the launch of next-gen the four sports titles on-hand for release have shown and described very little of substance to convince consumers that they should be considered for purchase. Outside of FIFA 14, which by appearing at various conferences resulted in lengthy gameplay videos making it to the public, they've either barely been seen and disappointed (Madden NFL 25) or have been kept hidden (NBA 2K14, NBA Live 14). Back in early August the polls showed a signi...

A video from tech site Engadget, reporting on the CoachGlass feature that was revealed yesterday, provides the first glimpse of next-gen Madden NFL 25 in action. Manual, Clay Matthews, Owen Daniels, and Michael Vick will miss at least a few weeks. The Vikings signed Josh Freeman (not the starter yet) and the Giants traded for Jon Beason. Players likely to go up after strong performances include Terrelle Pryor, Geno Smith, Tony Romo, Andrew Luck, Knowshon Moreno, A...

The roster update following week four of the season is expected out by Friday afternoon on both the Xbox 360 and PS3. The trades of Eugene Monroe to the Ravens and Levi Brown to the Steelers are included. The Buccaneers releasing Josh Freeman today obviously came too late to make it in for this update.
