    One of the most common questions out there relating to the Xbox One and PS4 is whether there are any differences in multi-platform games. As far as sports games go on a technical level there shouldn't be - they are running at the same resolution and framerate - but that doesn't mean they are exactly the same.     Now that all teams have completed their bye weeks five games remain in the final stretch of the season that looks to determine the sixth playoff spot for both conferences.     Madden NFL 25 was a disappointment on the Xbox 360 and PS3 but the arrival of the Xbox One and PS4 brings promise of a fully featured product with improved gameplay and atmosphere. That would certainly represent a much better entry situation than how the previous generation was welcomed in and for the most part EA Sports has achieved that goal. It just may not be enough to get consumers excited since the base product it builds on was already lagging so far behind in the minds of many. (more...

    The roster update for Madden NFL 25 following week 11 of the season is out now on the Xbox One, PS4, 360, and PS3.     While more detailed write-ups will be done in the near future here are brief initial assessments of the three launch day sports games on the PS4 that will also be out for Xbox One this week. Rare is the occasion where several sports games are released on the same day so time with them has been split evenly thus far.     Now through 11 weeks of the NFL season and no team remains undefeated as the Broncos knocked off the Chiefs with a rematch coming in two weeks.     Though EA Sports has avoided showing gameplay footage of next-gen Madden NFL 25 there are now opportunities to see the game in action thanks to the PS4's built-in streaming feature. A few users began streaming gameplay yesterday - unfortunately those extended sessions were not archived to watch after they were over - while Game Informer held their own streaming session which has been saved.
