Madden 09 Achievement List
The full list of 360 achievements can now be found thanks to xbox360achievements here. As I'm sure the question will come up, no the game will not have support for the just announced PS3 trophies.
Just a couple quick observations. Only 25 this year as opposed to the closer to 50 from past versions. The list seems reasonable in that there aren't any that I instantly know I'd never have a chance at getting. Some of them are pretty random though such as the 7 pass TDs with the Falcons or 300 r...
Madden 09 gone gold clarification
Earlier today came the news that Madden 09 had "gone gold" through an official EA press release. Generally having "gone gold" means that a game is completed, has cleared certification, and is ready to be mass produced. Those announcements tend to come very close to the release date of the game, so hearing that Madden 09 had done so was a big surprise.
Through correspondence with producer Phil Frazier I have learned in that sense Madden 09 has not gone gold. The game is completed (no further...
Madden 09 has gone gold
In a surprising announcement today EA Sports has stated that Madden 09 has gone gold. That means the game is complete and can be sent out to be mass produced. Knowing this the game must have been submitted for certification weeks ago. In most cases "gone gold" announcements are made 7-14 days prior to the release date, so this news was not expected a month and a half in advance.
The ongoing producer discussions have made it seem as though adjustments were still being made, though at this po...
Upcoming NBA Live 09 Community Event
Tomorrow the 26th I will be up at EA Canada's Burnaby studio for the NBA Live 09 Community Event. Time will be had with the game and producers. This is still early in the development process so the opportunity is there for the feedback given to be acted on. Last year the early event proved to be very beneficial which led to the desire to hold it once again under similar circumstances. You can actually look back to that event as the first sign of what has since materialized with EA actively pur...
Tony Parker is the NBA Live 09 cover athlete
As seen in a promo video on Kotaku, Tony Parker has been chosen to be the cover athlete for NBA Live 09.
This comes as somewhat of a surprise as Parker has already become a staple on the French version of the game. Given the set of features announced for Live it definitely pointed towards a point guard so that part of it fits. However Deron Williams would've made for a much better choice.
That is unless EA plans to put Eva Longoria on the cover with Parker....
Madden 09 demo news
Since the NCAA Football 09 demo came out early many have wondered when the one for Madden 09 would be arriving. While nothing is certain yet they are working towards having one prerelease though it would be more along the lines of a week before unlike NCAA's month before.
Interestingly it appears that EA Sports and 7-Eleven have teamed up for a Madden promotion. One aspect of that is a demo that can be picked up in-store prior to release of the game.
A first for EA Sports and exclusive to ...
Madden 09 celebration videos
More videos from Madden 09, this time showcasing some of the post-TD celebrations in the game. Previous discuss has centered around specific players having their own unique celebrations, the ability to "steal" an opponent's celebration, and team specific celebrations such as the Lambeau Leap. Also there has been the community suggestion to have the option of turning off the boxes of light in the end zone that are designated for activating different which EA did listen to (they are not visible ...
Madden 09: The lost Community Event videos
While going through the folder with all the videos I took at the Football Community Event I came across a handful that I hadn't posted (most of the past videos can be found through here). These feature basic gameplay with Browns @ Cowboys and Seahawks @ Rams along with more Superstar mode footage as Jonathan Stewart.
Continue on to watch the four most recently added videos.
