Earlier today Gamespot hosted a live stage show demonstration of NBA Live 09 which included producer Brent Nielson. Of course one of the main topics discussed was the recently announced 365 and the player DNA along with "Rewind". There is a great deal of gameplay shown throughout the 10 minute video along with the demonstration of signature play calling. It is also mentioned that the demo for the game should be out around mid-September. Continue on to watch the video and be sure to leave yo...

The San Jose Mercury News has leaked the first details on the secret feature for NBA Live 09 that will be officially announced at the EA press conference this afternoon. I will wait until after that announcement is made before posting more specifics on what it is all about along with my personal thoughts. As stated in my hands-on the feature was presented for literally two hours so it is much more in-depth than just a single paragraph can describe. Until then you can take in the following info...

Brett Favre has always found a way to get media attention and that has certainly continued to be the case this offseason. After announcing his retirement he kept flirting with the media by dropping hints of a possible return. This was even the case when he went on the David Letterman show for the first promotional appearance as cover athlete for Madden 09 and said that "something's bound to happen". Now comes the news that Favre has requested a release from the Packers so he can consider op...

  • Brett Favre about to resurrect Madden Curse discussion

I've often gotten enjoyment out of how the media will grasp at anything in order to get an easy "Madden Curse" story. Expect that to happen again as reports are that Brett Favre is seriously considering a change of mind on retirement. Surely this will somehow be tied in with his appearance on the cover of Madden 09. It would be naive to think EA didn't foresee this as a possible development. Regardless of whether he is playing football or not he seems to have a knack of finding a way to sta...
