NBA Live 09 Demo Out Now
In a surprise early release the demo for NBA Live 09 is now available for the 360. Given that this is a Thursday it could also bode well for the PS3 receiving it today, though no confirmation of that is available at this time. The demo wasn't expected to be out until the second or third week of the month. More on NBA Live 09 Rewind
Coming out of the community event I was in the minority when it came to the opinion of the Rewind feature in NBA Live 09. I felt that outside of the prospect of having the daily roster updates which is how 365 will likely be viewed by the masses, that Rewind had the potential for the most wide ranging appeal. EA Sports World is starting to materialize with some unique content, one feature just began on Friday and is definitely worth checking out. NBA Live 09 Quickstrike and Lockdown Video
IGN has a interview and video with NBA Live 09 producer Jeff Antwi on two of the new features to the game this year in Quickstrike Ball Handling and Lockdown Defense. Back at the community event I struggled to find much success with quickstrike but felt that lockdown defense was a very valuable addition by adding motivation to play good defense as it could be rewarded. A new video of NBA Live 09 in action from Microsoft's recent X08 event has been posted on Youtube. While it isn't the greatest quality it would arguably be the best representation currently available of how the game plays. Details on items that have been fixed with the second patch for Madden 09 are the topic of a brand new blog posted by producer Ian Cummings on the Madden 09 website. Although NCAA Football 09 began the All Play line of games for the Wii, the first true game to actually represent the ideals is Madden 09.
