As most everyone is surely aware by now, Michael Vick has been granted a conditional reinstatement to the NFL. Vick is allowed to take part in all practices, team meetings and workouts as well as play in the final two preseason games. However it may not be until week six that final clearance comes from Roger Goodell for Vick to play in a regular season game. As Vick has immediately become a free agent expect him to be in the release day roster update for Madden 10 regardless of whether he...

Earlier this week Seahawks WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh took issue with his ratings in Madden NFL 10. NFL players complaining about their ratings is nothing new but regardless the story as gotten a great deal of attention. So much so that Housh and Cowboys WR Patrick Crayton were invited to be guests on ESPN's First Take to debate ratings with Donny Moore and Ian Cummings. Of course EA is loving the attention this is bringing to the game. Ratings have always provided exposure and led to a lot o...

Continue on to check out the impressions, screenshots, and video. (more…)...

IGN has posted up some impressions and videos displaying the Online Co-Op mode in Madden 10. After laying out the basics of the mode they go on to praise the offensive side of the ball but express difficulties with defense. Primarily the faults come from the camera angles and how the camera shifts when switching to a different player. Lag was also cited as an issue which is not encouraging. Madden hasn't had too much trouble with lag the last few years, rather it has been disconnects that ha...

Every year player ratings are always a hot topic. This year will be no different. Since, like you, I am but a mere consumer, I will never have the privilege of actually being rated in Madden. I’ve always wondered what it was like to be on the other side of the fence. What if I was player? Would I pay any real attention to my ratings? Would I care what someone locked in a room over at EA Tiburon thought of my skills? Well Seattle Seahawks wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh helped answe...
