Now that six weeks are in the books the undefeated teams have established themselves as legitimate contenders and may be deserving of some more attention in the ratings. The Saints, Colts, Broncos, and Saints have all proven they are for real. On the other end of the spectrum there are teams like the Titans, Redskins, Bucs, and Rams who should take a hit in their ratings based on their performance this season. Looking at specific players maybe it was premature to slide Tom Brady down to a...

The next roster update for Madden 10 is slated to release either today or tomorrow and as such the weekly ratings details are now available. Of note is a boost to an 86 for Cedric Benson and 76 for Miles Austin. Michael Crabtree lost two points which is curious since most everyone thought he was too high coming back in. However he was not expected to play in the game this past weekend so how that would affect his rating is odd. This time EA has provided the changes in the form of images w...

One thing constantly being requested is info regarding the upcoming patch for Madden 10, so here is the latest. Per Ian Cummings on Twitter the second patch is still being worked on. It appears they are attempting to get as much into this patch as possible and as such it has still not been submitted to MS or Sony for certification. Indications are that could happen within the next week or so. That would put the patch on track to release in the first half of November. The patch is expected...

Normally one game wouldn't result in a ratings upgrade but what Miles Austin did will almost certainly get him one. He basically took over the role as #1 receiver with Roy Williams out and turned in a Cowboys record breaking 250 yards with 2 TDs. Austin right now sits at a 70 and could end up matching teammate Patrick Crayton at 77 now that he has taken his starting spot with Crayton possibly dropping down. Cedric Benson became the first RB to go over 100 yards against the Ravens defense in ...

The sixth roster update for Madden 10 was released earlier this morning. It includes the trade of Braylon Edwards to the Jets and the re-introduction of Michael Crabtree to the 49ers after his signing earlier this week. Edwards lost a point and is now an 84 and Crabtree has shifted downwards but not nearly as much as I would've expected. He is now an 82 overall. Other changes of note include a significant boost to Giants WR Steve Smith as he goes from an 81 to an 87. Darrelle Revis has mo...
