Info On the Madden 11 Cover Candidates
While I am not at liberty to disclose the candidates that will be up for the Madden 11 cover athlete vote I will be dropping some hints today and tomorrow leading up to them being revealed on Thursday. For those of you following me on Twitter I briefly mentioned a few vague details yesterday and even eliminated some names that had been guessed.
As I first stated upon initial reaction given that EA Sports would need to come to an agreement with any player before offering them up as a potenti...
How To Vote On The Madden 11 Cover
Given the news of the Doritos promotion from earlier this morning I went out to the store to get more details. For the first time the Madden cover will be determined by a voting process. Visit this website in order to participate. In addition to voting for the cover athlete of Madden 11 you'll be entered for a chance to win prizes including a trip to the NFL Draft.
Despite my attempts to navigate the website I have been unable to locate anywhere to vote on the Madden 11 cover. It could be t...
Madden 11 Cover To Be Voted On?
Though the cover athlete for Madden 11 would normally not be known until around NFL Draft time there is a new development today that could greatly affect how the final determination is made. Jstein2469 has posted a pic on Twitter that shows a new promotion being run by Doritos. Apparently the cover for Madden 11 will be chosen through some sort of fan based voting process.
Right now the front-runner for the cover of Madden 11 would probably be either Drew Brees and Chad Ochocinco. However i...
First Madden 11 Blog Coming During Super Bowl
For the second straight year the first news on the upcoming Madden will arrive during halftime of the Super Bowl. A blog posting will go up with discussion about one particular aspect of the game. For Madden 10 that was the "procedural awareness" and included details on what it was all about as well as a few videos showing off the technology.
Earlier today lead designer Ian Cummings posted on Twitter that the idea of having a blog at halftime of Super Bowl XLIV for Madden 11 has been approv...

So I took both of these games and watched them play out through a sim in Madden 10. Continue on to view the results and stats. Leave your thoughts in the comments regarding the...
Favorite Madden Ultimate Team Cards
One of the most intriguing elements of Madden Ultimate Team is in finding particular cards, whether it be through auction, packs, or a special deal. This is especially the case with the limited edition cards that are being created. Following their performances in the Divisional Playoff games Reggie Bush and Sidney Rice received special cards as 99 rated players. Only 1000 of them were offered and they sold out fast. Earlier today a Darrelle Revis 99 rated card was released only to sell out wit...
Divisional Weekend Ratings Change Suggestions
While the Conference Championship games will still factor into the final Madden 10 roster update some more trends can be found from the Divisional games played this weekend. Like the Wild Card games the weekend was saved by the final one while the others were blowouts. The results throughout the playoffs are to be considered in the next update.
Keeping track of some of the standouts, Shonn Greene continued his strong showing with the big TD run against the Chargers. Ray Edwards and basicall...
Wild Card Weekend Ratings Suggestions
The final roster update for Madden 10 won't arrive until the Friday before the Super Bowl but for the sake of keeping track of performance these posts will continue until then. Wild Card Weekend had three boring games before it was closed out by an incredible offensive battle and stunning OT finish.
Some of the names of note that performed well included pretty much everyone offensively for the Cardinals and Packers. Charles Woodson won Defensive Player of the Year so he should see a boost f...
