Thoughts on the Final Madden Roster Update
When the final roster update for Madden 10 was released one change caught everyone by surprise. Players who had retired in the time between the end of their season and when the update arrived were removed, most notable of them being Kurt Warner. Upon discovering this I posted the article on the subject and hoped to get a comment on why the action was taken. As far as I know their removal represented the only time that off-season transactions were made in the game for a season that had just com...

Users in various forums have attempted to dig through the video and pull out game related info from the whiteboards in the background.
Over at ncaaStrategies one post summarizes everything that has been found so far. It includes screencaps pulled from the video and attempted transcription of everything ...

Final Roster Update Removes Kurt Warner
An interesting development out of the final roster update for Madden 10 is that players who have announced their retirement have been removed from the game completely. Kurt Warner, Junior Seau, and Bertrand Berry are no longer available for use with the update that arrived earlier this morning.

Currently the football competition on Facebook includes GridIron Live Football which does not have the benefit of having the NFL license.
Popular games on Facebook have discovered huge revenue streams due to the large user base....

The Three Madden 11 Cover Candidates
With ESPN announcing the names and the website now displaying them, the three players selected by EA Sports to be eligible for the Madden 11 cover vote can now be laid out as well as having a winner named from the contest I ran on Wednesday evening. The hints I provided allowed for narrowing down the possibilities but there were different ways to interpret them and different ways to piece together the three and still meet all those criteria.
Drew Brees is the clear favorite to win the vote ...
More Madden 11 Cover Candidate Info
Yesterday I revealed some hints as to the players that will be up for vote for the Madden 11 cover. There will be three to choose from, only one will end up gracing the cover, and all three players are from playoff teams. While the names will be officially unveiled tomorrow with the opening of the contest I wanted to provide some more info to narrow it down and get any final guesses in advance.
Of the three candidates one is the clear standout and likely winner. One of the players will like...
