As yesterday marked the start of the Madden NFL 12 ratings barrage another day brings a few more reveals. Out now are the top linebackers, the New York Jets, and the New England Patriots. Along with the previously listed Bills and Dolphins the AFC East is now complete and two new teams will be unveiled each weekday going forward. There isn't much to go on with the top linebackers in Madden 12 given the reveal has been limited to only those rated 95 or higher so there are no surprise...

EA Sports today began uncovering the player ratings for Madden NFL 12. With release of the game being pushed to the end of August expect the ratings reveals to be dragged out over the coming weeks. Keep in mind that the team breakdowns represent the default rosters which will ship with the game and predate all the offseason movement that began last week. Necessary adjustments to the rosters will come in the form of a release day roster update. The top five QBs are Tom Brady (99), Peyto...

The most prized free agent this year, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, has agreed to terms with the Philadelphia Eagles. Not considered a contender for Asomugha particularly after dealing Kevin Kolb for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie they were able to steal him away from teams like the Jets and Cowboys who were considered the front-runners late in the process. The Eagles were already tops of the transaction 'winners' posted earlier today but this vaults them into a whole new category. Asomugha wi...

The list of Xbox 360 achievements/PS3 trophies recently arrived for Madden NFL 12. Many of the achievements are based on duplicating or exceeding the extraordinary performances turned in by individual players last season. The most notable achievement though doesn't have to do with real life performance - instead it requires the replication of one play's result from an ultra popular Madden 11 user-created video. (more…)...

The landscape of Madden NFL 12 is set to change with the opening of transactions for the upcoming season. With that in mind each move - whether that be a trade, signing, or release - will impact the way teams shape up for Madden 12. Here is an early look based on reported transactions thus far, though remembering that deals may have been agreed to but aren't official yet. This is something I'll be working up a few times over the next week or so as the situation is fluid and many significant ...
  • New CBA Rules Not Coming to Madden 12

The big question that came with the end of the NFL lockout due to the agreement on a new CBA was whether the rules would potentially be implemented in Madden NFL 12 through a patch. That won't be happening. EA Sports has declared that due to the timing there was no way to get the new CBA rules in for Franchise mode. That much was expected as the game is basically locked down and preparing to advance to the mass manufacturing stage. However having known this was coming for years and with i...
