    As the wait for the "monumental change to gameplay" being announced on June 4 for Madden NFL 13 continues EA Sports turned their attention to promoting the enhancements to audio. The new commentary team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms is joined by a number of authentic QB cadences and real on-field sounds provided by NFL Films, crown noise improvements, and an original soundtrack produced entirely in-house.  (more…)...
  • The Quarterbacks with Authentic Cadences in Madden NFL 13

    EA Sports has revealed most of the quarterbacks that will have their authentic cadences included in Madden NFL 13. A partnership with NFL Films allowed the company to grab the audio for a number of QBs and implement their actual voices in the game. There will be 14 of them featured - 12 of which are currently known. For various reasons other QBs didn't make the cut in having their voices included in the game.  (more…)...

    Though Madden NFL 13 definitely seemed to generate some enthusiasm based on gameplay and presentation news the release of a commentary-centric video this week undeniably dampened that at least to an extent.     In the poll that went up last week the question was posed as to what effect the recent news focusing on gameplay and presentation had on perceptions of Madden NFL 13.     Last night brought the first opportunity to hear the new commentary team call the action in Madden NFL 13 however there is much more in the way of audio improvements being introduced within the game than just that.     EA Sports has released a video featuring some intro and gameplay footage of Madden NFL 13 with commentary from the new team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.     When the first visuals from Madden NFL 13 arrived feedback on the new score bug started rolling in and for all the wrong reasons.
