Heroes Major Character to Be Killed Off
Heroes continues to drop in the ratings and following the girl-on-girl kiss (ratings desperation) comes another supposed shocker. Ausiello reports that a major original male character in a one-time hit show is set to be killed off in the near future. Apparently this development came a surprise to the actor who only learned of this from reading the script. E Online confirms and reveals that the series in question is in fact Heroes.
So what characters are in danger? Peter and Nathan, Sylar,...
ABC Orders Full Season Of FlashForward
ABC has ordered 12 more episodes for their rookie series FlashForward. Variety reports the science-fiction suspense series will now be a full season.
ABC has given a back-nine episode pickup to "FlashForward."
Drama from ABC Studios has been a solid ratings earner at 8 p.m. Thursday, edging CBS' reality stalwart "Survivor" in the timeslot and is the top 18-34 new drama of the season.

Chuck Could Return Early
Just last week brought news that NBC had canceled the critically lauded and relatively well rated police drama before it even premiered the second season which was scheduled for later this month. Essentially it was deemed too dark for their open time slots now that Jay Leno occupied the 10pm hour every day of the week.
Having already closed up shop on one series and with some struggling new shows the network is in dire straits. Trauma has done decently but is very expensive to produce, Me...
NBC Cancels Southland
NBC has announced that they have canceled the sophomore series Southland which was slated to premiere on October 23rd. Though ratings were solid and it received primarily good reviews this was a show that the network felt wasn't suited for them anymore. The main reason for the cancellation appears to be that a drama with a darker tone has no where to fit in NBC's schedule now that the 10pm hour is unavailable. It would not be surprising to see the show end up on another network in the future...
Battlestar Galactica: The Plan
Though the Sci-Fi series Battlestar Galactica ended early this year it has lived on through spin-offs. First was Caprica which released as a standalone movie back in April to kick start the series for the network now known as SyFy. Caprica is essentially the origin story which goes back to life on the planet and the creation of the Cylons. Caprica is slated to have its series premiere on January 10th 2010.
Next to come is Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. Every episode of the series began w...
MNF Sets Cable Ratings Record
The highly anticipated Monday Night Football game between the Vikings and Packers earlier this week set the all-time ratings record for a cable TV broadcast. It pulled in nearly 22 million viewers and in doing so even beat out every show on broadcast TV for the evening including the juggernaut Dancing With the Stars which averaged just under 18 million viewers over its two hour airing.
While cable TV has seen a rise in ratings as household access and viewership continues to increase over ...
Californication Renewed for Fourth Season
Having just kicked off its third season the Showtime series Californication has already been renewed for a fourth. The show stars David Duchovny as a (sometimes) successful writer with a sex addiction and has been consistently picking up viewers. The third season premiere drew the highest ratings in series history and was up nearly 60% over the previous season opener.
Despite some overly forced dialogue and situations I thoroughly enjoy Californication. I had hesitations on whether I even...
