As announced yesterday NBC will not be ordering any new episodes of the freshman show Trauma. The original pickup was for 13 episodes and those will air as planned. This move has led to speculation that Chuck will take over Trauma's Monday night at 9PM time slot and be coupled with Heroes. Six additional episodes of Chuck have also apparently been ordered ...

As announced today the PS3 will be receiving Netflix streaming in November. This has been a really nice feature for watching movies and TV shows on the PC or the Xbox 360 for some time now. The biggest difference though is the PS3 will require the use of a "instant streaming Blu-ray disc" while the 360 has the program is fully integrated into XBL. There will be no extra charge for PS3 users, all that is required is a high enough subscription plan with Netflix. For those planning to use the f...

Many networks have made the decision to partner with Hulu and offer their programs, while a handful of movie studios have made deals to have their films shown on the site. Hulu has remained free having been sustained through advertising and their media partnerships. Earlier today however it was announced that Hulu will begin charging and likely in subscription form. As the use of the DVR has increased in recent years so has its impact on the way networks and advertisers consider the success of a program. Oftentimes a show may have middling ratings but because Nielson does not incorporate DVR'd showings into those numbers they have been forced to pull them them separately. Some shows and demographics get strong numbers from recorded viewings which are counted into DVR ratings as long as they are watched within one week of the original broadcast. Havin...
