When FlashForward debuted earlier this fall it was the most buzzed about new show on TV. The ratings were good though they were not spectacular. V Premiere Gets Big Ratings
The highly anticipated premiere of V drew numbers that almost certainly exceeded expectations for ABC. The show pulled in 13.9 million viewers and an outstanding 5.0 rating in the critical 18-49 demo. That made it the highest rated new series of the season. The premiere of V takes place tonight on ABC at 8PM. V is a remake of the 1984 mini-series about an alien race that arrives and presents themselves as friendly but really have sinister motives. The show stars Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), Morena Baccarin (Firefly), Scott Wolf (Party of Five) and Joel Gretsch (The 4400). As previously reported, last month NBC canceled the cop drama Southland. Well the channel that "knows drama", TNT, has picked up the series and will start airing episodes in January.
