Despite mediocre ratings while airing on Friday nights Dollhouse has enjoyed a supportive fan base and strong DVR viewership. It was able to survive its first season and made for somewhat of a surprise when it was picked up for a second season. However recent signs started appearing that it was in danger with the most glaring one when Fox pulled the show for November sweeps. Earlier today Fox announced that Dollhouse has been canceled. It will however finish its full season 13 episode ord...

When FlashForward debuted earlier this fall it was the most buzzed about new show on TV. The ratings were good though they were not spectacular. Since the premiere fan following has dropped and that is being seen in the ratings. Last week's episode, which was hyped to be the "one you had to see", delivered the lowest ratings for the series thus far. The 8.5 million viewers and only a 2.6 rating in the 18-49 come in well below ABC's expectations. While it has a solid following on DVR that ...

With the release of the likely-to-be blockbuster disaster movie 2012 only a week away comes news that a television show is in the works that would follow humanity in the aftermath. Director Roland Emmerich mentioned the idea while talking with Entertainment Weekly. “The plan is that it is 2013 and it’s about what happens after the disaster,” Emmerich told EW while walking the red carpet for the 2012 premiere Tuesday. “It is about the resettling of Earth. That is ver...

The highly anticipated premiere of V drew numbers that almost certainly exceeded expectations for ABC. The show pulled in 13.9 million viewers and an outstanding 5.0 rating in the critical 18-49 demo. That made it the highest rated new series of the season. It did this despite showing in the generally weaker 8pm hour and against NCIS which is the top show on TV. While NCIS came in first in overall viewers V topped it in the 18-49 demo. I thought the episode was great and it made for the b...

Earlier this year Hugh Jackman breathed life back into the Academy Awards with his performance as host. After recently stating he would not return this year the speculation started right up as to who should take over. One thing was for sure though and that was the Academy could not just go with a rehash. Though he has hosted twice before, Steve Martin will be joined by Alec Baldwin for the 2010 Oscars. Martin has always been well liked and his opening performances have gotten big laughs. ...

The premiere of V takes place tonight on ABC at 8PM. V is a remake of the 1984 mini-series about an alien race that arrives and presents themselves as friendly but really have sinister motives. The show stars Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), Morena Baccarin (Firefly), Scott Wolf (Party of Five) and Joel Gretsch (The 4400). It has been difficult to get a feel for how well V is going to be received. ABC has been promoting it heavily and the show has a lot of potential. At the same time it almost ...

As previously reported, last month NBC canceled the cop drama Southland. Well the channel that "knows drama", TNT, has picked up the series and will start airing episodes in January. According to Entertainment Weekly: TNT announced this morning that it plans to re-air the series’ original seven episodes NBC broadcast, plus the six new hours that NBC ordered but chose not to air. Depending on ratings, TNT will order more. The cable network plans to run the tough cop drama Tuesday ...
  • 24 Will Have Another Past Character Return

24 has never shied away from reintroducing characters from previous seasons. At the rate they die or turn sides it is inevitable that they have to refresh or tie them into previous storylines. Hell last year they brought back a guy who had been killed off so nothing can come as a surprise anymore. With the premiere of 24 coming on January 17th more details on the season are making their way out. One of my favorite characters from earlier on in 24 will be back for season eight. This could ...
