    Starz has announced that a six episode prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand has begun production. The first season of Spartacus was a great performer for Starz topping the 18-49 demo for all cable networks with its original ratings on Friday nights while also playing really well with on-demand viewings.     Today FX announced that they have picked up Justified for a second season. The series stars Timothy Olyphant and is based on the popular character created by Elmore Leonard in the short story "Fire in the Hole" and some of his other novels. Through seven weeks, first-run episodes of Justified are averaging 3.4 million viewers and 1.7 million  Adults 18-49.  The weekly multi-run average viewership for the series is 7.5 million total viewers and 3.9 million Adults 18-49 (six episodes)....

    Deadline has posted some exclusive details on the second season of HBO's Eastbound & Down.     According to the LA Times a subscription service that will come with a cost of $9.95 a month is set to be rolled out by Hulu as early as a month from now. This possibility had been talked about by Hulu execs back in October but then when the story ended up being widely circulated the idea was played down.     HBO has renewed Curb Your Enthusiasm for another year. Season 8 of the series will debut sometime in 2011 for the standard 10 episodes. Curb is already the longest running series in HBO history having delivered 70 episodes to date.
