    Several networks were making a play for the new JJ Abrams series to be known as Alcatraz and today we learned that Fox has come away the winner. The network already houses his project Fringe which is entering its third season while NBC is launching Undercovers next week. The new show is being described as about "mysteries, secrets and the most infamous prison of all time: Alcatraz".     HBO has released a quick trailer for the second season of Eastbound & Down. Set to premiere on Sunday September 26th at 10:30pm this season finds Kenny Powers in Mexico and features a new supporting cast given the locale.     The idea of producing a sequel to the film True Lies has been discussed ever since it was released back in 1994. Directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger it went on to make nearly $400 million worldwide. As the years have gone on it has seemed to be increasingly less likely that a sequel would ever come about.     This is an important week for a few networks as they start bringing back returning shows, though the most significant week will follow this one. Survivor: Nicaragua represents the 21st season for the highly rated reality show and moves to Wednesdays, while The Apprentice goes away from the celebrity format of the past few seasons.     A very interesting development today as it has been announced that the Stephen King novels that make up The Dark Tower is going to be made into a series of movies and TV shows. Taking the seven novels into a project has seemed almost overwhelmingly impossible until this plan for it was developed.
