Netflix Splitting DVD and Streaming Services Into Two Seperate Companies
Netflix today announced that they will be completely separating their DVD rental and streaming services into two different companies. The Netflix name will stay with the streaming side while a new company to be known as Qwikster will handle the DVDs. Yes, that means that those who want both will need to subscribe indepedently to different websites, and create queues and rate films/shows on each - there will be no integration between the two.

2011 Emmy Award Winners
The 2011 Emmy Awards were notable for a number of surprises. Friday Night Lights finally got recognition as it won for writing and Kyle Chandler walked away with Best Actor in a Drama, while Peter Dinklage won for Supporting Actor representing Game of Thrones. Ultimately the favorite Mad Men took Best Drama. Comedy categories were dominated by Modern Family but Melissa McCarthy took Best Actress in a Comedy.

Source Code Being Developed as TV Series
The sci-fi thriller from earlier this year, Source Code, will be adapted into a television series for CBS. Shaping up to be a procedural the show will follow three former federal agents who use the "Source Code" in order to infiltrate tragic events of the past. The movie received mostly positive reviews and performed decently at the box office.
