The Walking Dead Gets Third Season Renewal
There was no question that it would happen but today AMC made it official - the network has picked up the zombie-survival comic adaptation The Walking Dead for a third season. DVD/Blu-ray Releases for Week of October 25th
Four really solid movie options release this week - and nothing of significance TV wise. The summer blockbuster Marvel's Captain America leads the way but the Jurassic Park Trilogy (for the first time on Blu-ray) is going to intrigue many. When the stated "trilogy" of Michael Bay's ended with Transformers: Dark of the Moon the widespread assumption was that the franchise would continue, or reboot, with someone else directing. The Walking Dead Season Two Premiere Sets New Ratings Highs
Last year The Walking Dead became the highest rated cable show of all-time. The second season season premiere last night shattered those numbers as it bought in 7.3 million viewers for the first showing and 11 million total for the evening when counting the encore. The critical 18-49 demo had a 4.2 rating breaking previous cable records. The premiere drew rave reviews but reaction amongst viewers has been decidedly more mixed.
