The Forgotten (10pm ABC) Christian Slater is back with a new show after the cancellation of My Own Worst Enemy. The Forgotten is another investigative procdedural show and has the look and feel of Cold Case. In this one a group of amateurs attempt to figure out the identities of deceased victims in order to figure out who killed them. NCIS: Los Angeles (9pm CBS) After the successful expansion of the CSI brand CBS now looks to do the same with NCIS. The unorthodox pairing of LL Cool J an...

There doesn't seem to be very many big titles coming out this week unless you're a Star Trek fan. "Trekkies" will be happy to know there are a handful of movies making their way to Blu-ray today. The only movie that really caught my eye was Observe and Report. I was a little disappointed in it, and didn't think it was one of Seth Rogen's best movies. It had it's moments of course, but overall I felt letdown. Throughout the movie I couldn't help but think about Paul Blart: Mall Cop since both...

A while back the internet was buzzing when it was rumored Johnny Depp would be playing the Riddler in the next Batman film. Actor Michael Caine, who plays Alfred the butler, has shot down any of those rumors. In an interview with MTV Caine had this to say, "Johnny Depp is great in anything, but there is no Johnny Depp in this Batman. They tell me in no uncertain terms." Apparently Caine is done predicting potential cast mates after basically being told to keep his mouth shut. Another deta...

Monday September 20th brings the return of two big network shows in House and Heroes. Both kick off their respective seasons with two hour events that begin at 8pm. This represents the sixth season of House and the fourth for Heroes. House is one of the strongest shows for Fox and certainly remains entertaining every week. The finale of season five drew 12.7 million viewers. However some storyline decisions that were made last season baffled and upset fans. Being committed to a mental ins...

Freddy is back! Robert Englund has hung up his sweater and glove and is being replaced by Jackie Earle Haley in A Nightmare on Elm Street. To generate some buzz for the film a full-length documentary is being created. The teaser has been released on Youtube. The trailer features Heather Langenkamp, who we saw in previous Elm Street films as Nancy Thompson. I believe Haley is a great selection for the remake. He did a great job as Rorschach in Watchmen and just gives off that same creepy vibe ...

  • Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 7 Premiere

Its been nearly two years since the end of the sixth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. It returns with the premiere of the seventh season on Sunday, September 20th at 9PM on HBO. It is rare for TV shows to make me laugh out loud even if they're funny, but Curb has consistently done that throughout its run. I often times find myself agreeing with Larry David and totally understanding his initial opinion and position. He just can't ever let things go and it always gets him into difficult situ...
  • Friday 9/18 Box Office Results

The box office numbers are in for Friday September 18th and as expected Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs has come out on top pulling in 8 million. Considering Friday was a school day and the increased prices and demand seen with 3D offerings the average 3x Friday multiplier will likely be on the low side. For the weekend Meatballs will make close to 30 million. In a slight upset it is The Informant! that comes in second beating out Jennifer's Body. The Informant! made 3.7 million while J...
