The U.S. exclusive trailer for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus has been released. The film has garnered much interest because of Heath Ledger, who died during production. Fellow actors Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell stepped in after Heath’s death to help finish the movie. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus hits theaters this Christmas. For those not familiar with the movie here is the synopsis from Yahoo!: Dr. Parnassus has the extraordinary gift of inspiring the ima...

Though the Sci-Fi series Battlestar Galactica ended early this year it has lived on through spin-offs. First was Caprica which released as a standalone movie back in April to kick start the series for the network now known as SyFy. Caprica is essentially the origin story which goes back to life on the planet and the creation of the Cylons. Caprica is slated to have its series premiere on January 10th 2010. Next to come is Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. Every episode of the series began w...

The highly anticipated Monday Night Football game between the Vikings and Packers earlier this week set the all-time ratings record for a cable TV broadcast. It pulled in nearly 22 million viewers and in doing so even beat out every show on broadcast TV for the evening including the juggernaut Dancing With the Stars which averaged just under 18 million viewers over its two hour airing. While cable TV has seen a rise in ratings as household access and viewership continues to increase over ...

Having just kicked off its third season the Showtime series Californication has already been renewed for a fourth. The show stars David Duchovny as a (sometimes) successful writer with a sex addiction and has been consistently picking up viewers. The third season premiere drew the highest ratings in series history and was up nearly 60% over the previous season opener. Despite some overly forced dialogue and situations I thoroughly enjoy Californication. I had hesitations on whether I even...

Despite it being October, there are many Christmas movies being released this week. Jack Black fans may also think Christmas has come early with Year One hitting stores. I don't think I know anyone who said they enjoyed watching it though. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray: (more…)...

It looks like Ryan Reynolds will be working overtime as a comic book hero. Reynolds briefly mentioned his role as Wade Wilson in a Deadpool spin-off on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Now we finally have a release date for Green Lantern, DC Comics' highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of its popular comic book. The film will release June 17, 2011, putting it in competition with other summer comic blockbusters releasing that same year. We'll have Spider-Man 4 in May and The First Aveng...

Though it has been long rumored and known likely to happen it wasn't until today that it was confirmed to be officially in the works. The script is being worked on now and the film will include all the main players from the TV series including Michael Cera who had originally expressed a lack of desire to be in a potential movie. The director will be the creator of the show Mitchell Hurwitz and not Ron Howard which was rumored as of late. Howard was the producer of the show and narrator throu...
