Theatrical Trailer for Avatar
Fox has released the first full trailer for Avatar. Reaction to the previous teaser was mixed however that isn't all that surprising considering it isn't being seen in 3D. NBC Cancels Trauma
As announced yesterday NBC will not be ordering any new episodes of the freshman show Trauma. The original pickup was for 13 episodes and those will air as planned. Trauma was easily the most expensive new program for NBC this year and despite decent ratings it wasn't enough to keep the show going. Invictus Trailer
Invictus tells the true story of South African President Nelson Mandela and how he joined forces with the captain of the rugby team to help unite the country during a run at the World Cup in 1995. Starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon the movie is directed by Clint Eastwood. Universal Studios Home Entertainment announced that Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball will release on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download January 19, 2010. Review – Battlestar Galactica: The Plan
After five seasons Battlestar Galactica completed its run earlier this year. Because an end date was known ahead of time everything was wrapped up really well and it had a very thought-provoking conclusion. The first trailer for Green Zone is now out. Starring Matt Damon the movie tells the story of a US Army officer on the hunt for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Box Office Predictions: This Is It
The documentary about the final months and days of Michael Jackson's life, featuring footage of preparation for the concert tour he was planning, arrives in theaters tomorrow. New on DVD: Week of October 27
It seems to be another quiet week for DVD and Blu-ray releases. The only movie I'd probably pick up is the Blu-ray version of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. This might be my favorite Christmas movie, and is definitely my favorite of all the 'Vacation' movies.
