Despite mediocre ratings while airing on Friday nights Dollhouse has enjoyed a supportive fan base and strong DVR viewership. It was able to survive its first season and made for somewhat of a surprise when it was picked up for a second season. However recent signs started appearing that it was in danger with the most glaring one when Fox pulled the show for November sweeps. Earlier today Fox announced that Dollhouse has been canceled. It will however finish its full season 13 episode ord...

Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Kick-Ass. The movie stars Nicolas Cage and Christopher Mintz-Plasse and is directed by Matthew Vaughn (Stardust). Based on the comics the story revolves around an average kid who decides to become the world's first superhero despite the fact that he has no powers or even any training. Coming out of Comic-Con there was a lot of buzz based on the clips that were shown. Since then test screenings have been exceptional which prompted Slashfilm to p...

Restrictions on the deal are that they must be purchased online and are only available for orders made before release. Below are the movies available at the specia...
  • New on DVD: Week of November 10

There are a handful of decent Blu-ray movies releasing this week. I thought The Ugly Truth was a pretty good movie. I'm not a big fan of Katherine Heigl but Gerard Butler did a great job in the movie. It was quite a change from seeing him play King Leonidas in 300. I thought Butler's sense of humor in the film is what I enjoyed most. Another movie I'm sure people will look forward to is Disney-Pixar's Up. Last week's DVD sales continue to prove that people love animated movies, and Up should...

Mania.com is reporting Sam Raimi and the crew have started casting for Spider-Man 4. Sources have revealed actress Rachel McAdams has met with the producers for the role of Felicia Hardy aka 'The Black Cat'. Our sources tell us that the Black Cat's story fits well with Raimi's Spider-Man formula, which always finds the villains troubling not only the costumed hero, but also becoming entangled in Peter Parker's personal life as well. Fans recall that when Spidey first encounters the Black...

While last weekend marked the unofficial start of the holiday movie season it didn't include any of the pictures I had slated as my most anticipated through the end of the year. As such I have put together a list of the 10 movies I'm most looking forward to. Here are 10-6 with the top five being posted later this week. (more…)...

When FlashForward debuted earlier this fall it was the most buzzed about new show on TV. The ratings were good though they were not spectacular. Since the premiere fan following has dropped and that is being seen in the ratings. Last week's episode, which was hyped to be the "one you had to see", delivered the lowest ratings for the series thus far. The 8.5 million viewers and only a 2.6 rating in the 18-49 come in well below ABC's expectations. While it has a solid following on DVR that ...
