In late December the first trailer for the Kevin Smith directed Cop Out went out. For the most part it was met with indifference as it really offered nothing new and was short on laughs despite the potential chemistry between stars Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. Originally titled A Couple of Dicks the name was changed because TV networks wouldn't air ads for the movie. Now it appears that first trailer was gimped to an extent also. Warner Brothers has now released a red band trailer which i...

More bad news for fans of the show FlashForward which has been going through a rocky couple months. After initially starting out with good ratings they fell off quickly, co-creator Mark Guggenheim left the series, word of a temporary production shutdown leaked out, the show went on hiatus until March 4th, and most recently it was moved back even further to the 18th. Now what could be the most devastating blow arrives with the news that co-creator and showrunner David Goyer is stepping down ...

It's all the rage lately with comic book movies to launch a reboot and attempt to establish (or re-establish) a franchise. The latest comes from Fox with Daredevil. The 2003 film starred Ben Affleck and led to an even worse spin-off from Jennifer Garner's Elektra character. Daredevil actually did relatively well grossing $102 million on a budget of $78 million. However being panned by both critics and moviegoers Fox never felt comfortable greenlighting a sequel. The script for the reboot wi...

Could this finally be the weekend that Avatar gets knocked out of the top spot? Some are looking at Dear John to do just that as it appeals to a younger female crowd that may not be as interested in the festivities surrounding the Super Bowl. However I see Avatar staying atop for a final time this weekend despite yet another strong opening from a challenger. Also entering the market is the John Travolta action pic From Paris With Love. Dear John may not be a movie familiar to the masses but...

Director Joe Johnston has revealed quite a few details on the upcoming The First Avenger: Captain America. As the release of Kick-Ass grows nearer the question still remains how it will be marketed. Based on the comic book about regular people with no powers acting as superheroes it has become one of the most buzzed about movies on the horizon. The first teaser and then full trailer seemed a little soft being unable to get across the violent and bloody nature of the film. Given that it will be a hard R rated movie that makes the trailers difficult to produce. Now we have the red band international ...
