If you grew up in the 80s like I did, you might remember a horror film called Fright Night. It was announced last year that a remake to the classic 80s comedy/horror was in the works. FilmShaft.com is reporting that Craig Gillespie is set to direct DreamWorks’ remake. Fright Night was a pretty great 1985 vampire-unliving-next-door film, and now Dreamworks have decided it needs a “revamp” (couldn’t resist). This does not mean it will automatically “suckâ€Â...

Though Fox has always been viewed as the most likely destination for Conan O'Brien, there have been and remain some obstacles to overcome before anything is finalized. Today an executive from Fox confirmed that the two sides are working on a deal with a representative of O'Brien stating "we'll get there". There is still the possibility that O'Brien will choose to go to cable instead but the reach that Fox has gives it the edge. Ever since talk of a movie to Fox came up the biggest hurdle ha...

Fox today announced its plans for Avatar's release on DVD and Blu-ray and they are somewhat unconventional, though with James Cameron and the biggest movie of all-time involved that shouldn't come as a big surprise. The initial release will come on April 22nd, not coincidentally that is Earth Day. As opposed to the standard Tuesday releases this places Avatar to arrive in stores on a Thursday. Because of the desire to provide the absolute best audio and visual transfer the DVD and Blu-ray c...

The rise to stardom has been quick for Sam Worthington over the last six months, with prominent roles in tentpole films such as Terminator Salvation, the upcoming Clash of the Titans, and of course the biggest movie in history Avatar. He also is lined up to star as Dracula in Dracula: Year Zero. With such a busy schedule already, and an Avatar sequel sometime down the line, it makes it difficult to imagine him taking on another potential franchise. Despite that news has made it out that Warner...

Everything being released these days is a re-boot or in 3D. Now, we can add older movies being re-released in 3D thanks to James Cameron. According to the USA Today, Cameron will convert one of the highest grossing movies of all-time, Titanic, to 3D. When asked about Titanic, Cameron said "We're targeting spring of 2012 for the release (of a 3D version of Titanic), which is the 100 year anniversary of the sailing of the ship." This is quite different from what he said just last month when...

Having passed the self-imposed deadline of March 1st for deciding who will get the role of Steve Rogers aka Captain America, the rumors continue to swirl with yet another new name added to the list of those seen as final candidates. Ryan Phillippe has emerged for the first time as reported by HitFix. He is definitely on the older side of things at 35 and that could make it difficult to see him in this role. He joins Mike Vogel (Cloverfield), Chris Evans (Fantastic Four), Garret Hedlund (Tro...
