    A couple weeks back the story broke that this was likely to be the last season for 24. Today that became a reality as the lead director and producer for the series, Jon Cassar, has tweeted that the show has officially come to an end. News from the 24 set,the crew has been told that 24 has come to an end. There will b no season 9.     Fox has released the first trailer for the adaptation of the comic strip Marmaduke. Owen Wilson is in as the voice of Marmaduke. The movie will be another in the line of mixed CGI and live action which has done well at the box office the last few years.     Originally on my top 10 anticipated films of the holiday season, I never got around to seeing Brothers when it was in theaters. I had high expectations for the movie based on a compelling trailer that contrasted a drama with elements of a thriller. Interestingly the trailer, while it gave away some general themes of the movie, didn't give away as much as I had originally thought.     It should come as no surprise that The Twilight Saga: New Moon was the top selling DVD last week. The sequel outsold it's predecessor with 4 million copies in its first weekend alone. Coming in second was Disney's The Princess and the Frog . Had the latest 'Twilight' movie not released this week, I'm sure the animated film would have been the top selling DVD by far. 2012 was the most rented DVD for a consecutive week.     There has already been much written here about how the studios now pushing forward with more 3D films given the success of Avatar and even more recently Alice in Wonderland. The LA Times has an article today that states theaters are raising ticket prices by about 8% this weekend. That coincides with the release of How to Train Your Dragon, and a week later Clash of the Titans. The average surcharge on 3D will now be $4.
