In the process of promoting his upcoming film Robin Hood, Ridley Scott has revealed a few details on his plans for the prequel to Alien which he is currently working towards beginning production on. To pretty much no one's surprise the movie will be in 3D. It will be filmed with 3D cameras however and not converted in the post-production process. That is encouraging, as being shot in 3D is vastly preferable to being converted in the post-production process. The movie can also be made with 3...

The highest grossing movie of all-time has now also captured the title of fasting selling Blu-ray in history. Avatar sold 1.5 million copies on its first day of release breaking the record previously held by The Dark Knight. The movie hit stores yesterday with an unorthodox plan of coming out on a Thursday to coincide with Earth Day. It also offered absolutely nothing in the way of extras in an effort to maximize the disc space and provide the best quality video and audio possible. Early re...

Last weekend it was Kick-Ass finishing atop the box office. This time around another comic adaptation, The Losers, hopes to grab the crown. The other new entry is the Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan. The Losers focuses on a CIA special-ops team that are set up and left for dead, they then work to enact revenge on the man responsible. Make sure to check out my review here. The cast is full of strong personalities, most notably Chris Evans, but there are no standout names that...

Just last week news leaked out citing a level of displeasure from Sony towards The Green Hornet. The movie has already been shot and apparently the studio is not happy with the overall tone as well as Seth Rogen in the lead role. Today Sony tweeted that the movie will be released in 3D. Some are already seeing this announcement in the same light as Clash of the Titans, which converted (poorly) but made a ton of money off the higher ticket sales. This really does just scream of a money grab,...

According to the LA Times a subscription service that will come with a cost of $9.95 a month is set to be rolled out by Hulu as early as a month from now. This possibility had been talked about by Hulu execs back in October but then when the story ended up being widely circulated the idea was played down. Despite that everyone completely expected it would be coming down the line at some point. Hulu provides episodes of popular ABC, NBC and Fox programs. The $9.95 service will be deemed "Hul...

In an interview with MTV, Martin Lawrence discussed the chances of Bad Boys III and that both Will Smith and Michael Bay are interested in the project. Until now it was believed that the cost of signing both Smith and Bay could be prohibitive to another Bad Boys sequel though a script has been in the works in hopes that things would come together. Lawrence believes that both Smith and Bay are board, at least for the idea of doing it. "It's real realistic," the comedian revealed to MTV News re...
