Starz has announced that a six episode prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand has begun production. The first season of Spartacus was a great performer for Starz topping the 18-49 demo for all cable networks with its original ratings on Friday nights while also playing really well with on-demand viewings. No mention was made of when the prequel will begin airing. Production on the second season of Spartacus was delayed to allow for star Andy Whitfield to receive treatment after being diagnos...

After a bad week for releases, this weeks is a bit better. The big names this week include Legion and Daybreakers. Even though I'm a sucker when it comes to action/horror films, I wasn't all that impressed with either. I did find Daybreakers to be a bit more enjoyable, mainly because of Willem Dafoe. The Karate Kid is also releasing on Blu-ray. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray: (more…)...

"We talk now," he said. Rudd will once again team up with Role Models writers Ke...

I've made no secret of my love for Kick-Ass but its performance at the box office has been somewhat disappointing. It didn't turn out to be a huge hit that some, including Lionsgate, had been hoping for. That being said it is already profitable and cruising to a respectable take. It cost just $30 million to make and has pulled in a worldwide total that is currently at $73 million. Its prospects on DVD are also encouraging. CLINT is a new magazine being spearheaded by Mark Millar who created...
