  • Trailer for Gulliver’s Travels

    Fox has released the first trailer for the comedy Gulliver's Travels. Jack Black stars in the re-imagining of the classic tale as a writer on assignment in the Bermuda Triangle who ends up washing ashore an island full of tiny people. The film also includes Emily Blunt, Jason Segel, and Amanda Peet and is directed by Rob Letterman (Monsters vs Aliens, Shark Tale).     According to The Hollywood Reporter Jeremy Renner is close to signing on for The Avengers. Renner would play Hawkeye, a conflicted villain that eventually joins up with the Avengers team. He was rumored to be in consideration to take on Hawkeye last year but at the time it seemed to be more of an idea just thrown out there rather than it having any substance.     Yesterday concept images for Captain America leaked out and now similar ones for Thor showing how Chris Hemsworth will look in costume have appeared. By comparing them to the first official picture released about a month ago of Hemsworth as Thor they do appear to be legit. Thor is filming now and is slated to release on May 6th 2011. (more…)...

    Love and romance have dominated the last two weeks. Last week it was the romantic comedy Valentine's Day topping all sales and rentals. This week Dear John topped all sales and rentals.     Ain't It Cool News has revealed concept images of how Chris Evans will look as Captain America in the upcoming movie. Multiple sources have confirmed that the images are legit and have been used internally and this will be the costume worn in the film. The look achieves the desire to stay true enough to the source material while at the same time avoiding the potential for it to come across as cheesy.     Yahoo! has posted three new clips from the upcoming The A-Team. The clips are titled Heist, Fondest Memory, and Worried respectively. Heist was by far the best one as it featured the most action.     Splice is one of the most difficult movies I've ever attempted to review. Even now as I write this I feel largely conflicted and uncertain of any sort of final verdict other than having found it strangely entertaining. This is not a conventional film to say the least and that I really liked about it. However in the process it takes some turns which are very uncomfortable for the audience.
