After opening to a strong $62 million last weekend the focus turned to how the legs would be for Inception. That has now been answered with the film displaying the result of great word-of-mouth and increased awareness. Inception came in first at the box office for the second straight weekend pulling in a very impressive $43.5 million. That makes out to be a drop of just 30%. It has now collected over $143 million and worldwide is over $225 million. Those are huge numbers for an original film a...

The Comic-Con panel for Saw 3D brought the debut of the trailer for the seventh and as announced final one in the series. The Saw franchise has made over $730 million worldwide and sold over 30 million DVDs, all the while being made on relatively low budgets making each one profitable despite some drops in box office take for the last few. There is understandable skepticism though, with many believing if Saw 3D is a hit that the studio will find an excuse to keep it going. The movie is slated ...

During the Comic-Con panel for Dexter the first trailer for the fifth season of the series was unveiled. Rather than talk about what is shown, given that it would mean some huge spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen up through the fourth season, I'll just post the trailer below! Be warned though spoilers may appear in the comments. ...

It has only been 12 days since the news broke that Edward Norton would not be returning to play Bruce Banner (aka The Hulk) in The Avengers.  Rumors quickly started stirring about who would take on the role. After a few days it became clear that Mark Ruffalo was the guy Marvel was targeting and it was just about hammering out the contract details. Word comes today that Ruffalo has agreed to play Hulk in The Avengers and also it would mean he has agreed to appear in future Marvel films (t...
  • Comic-Con Trailer: Red

The panel for the graphic novel adaptation Red at Comic-Con today was one of the most entertaining. Bruce Willis was funny as usual, Helen Mirren was really amusing and clearly having fun with a role that is so different for her, and I really like Mary-Louise Parker. It is just a shame that Morgan Freeman wasn't there too, but there are so many big name stars that appear in Red that some were going to have to be left out. While I remain somewhat iffy on the film as it just hasn't clicked wi...

At the Comic-Con panel today for Tron: Legacy eight minutes of the film was shown (and in 3D) which I was very impressed by and then the panel closed with the playing on the brand new trailer. That trailer has now arrived online. Tron Legacy is the sequel to the 1982 classic Tron. Jeff Bridges returns in his role of Kevin Flynn and Garrett Hedlund plays his son Sam Flynn. The movie also stars Olivia Wilde and Michael Sheen. The story centers on Sam attempting to find his father, who has ...
