Inception keeps on rolling showing some terrific legs based on its great word of mouth. The Christopher Nolan film has won its third consecutive weekend at the box office. This time it outdid expectations by topping the Steve Carell-Paul Rudd comedy Dinner for Schmucks. The other two new openers, Cats and Dogs 2 and Charlie St. Cloud, performed decently but were likely disappointments for their respective studios who had higher expectations. Pulling in another $27.5 million was good enough ...

Earlier today Fox and Ellen DeGeneres announced their mutual split from American Idol despite what was supposed to be a multi-year contract. Apparently DeGeneres found it difficult to criticize singers throughout last season (the ninth) of the show which saw a drop in ratings that came with a weak crop of contestants. Many felt she just parroted the thoughts of the other judges anyway. Her departure now means AI has lost half of the judging panel with the real star of the show Simon Cowell now...

The first looks at Thor that came via production photos elicited anything but enthusiastic response from fans looking forward to the Marvel film. However everything seemed to turn with the panel held at Comic-Con. The crowd in attendance totally bought into the footage that was shown and it became one of the big winners of the convention (other than the pointless 3D addition). Now the trailer that appeared at Comic-Con has emerged! Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic ...

Last October we reported some details on the upcoming 30 Days of Night: Dark Days. The film is a sequel to 2007's vampire film 30 Days of Night. The film would feature a new cast, and it would also be released straight to DVD. The first trailer has been released for the film and gives an idea of what direction the story is headed. From what I can tell the story is completely different. Rather than the main characters trying to survive and being hunted by vampires, they are now the hunters. ...
