Avatar 2 and 3 Made Official
James Cameron has signed on to write and direct Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 Variety reports. The plan is for him to begin working on the scripts early next year with Avatar 2 releasing in December 2014 and Avatar 3 December 2015. ‘Indiana Jones’ To Get 3-D Theatrical Release
3-D movies are all the craze these days. According to Blue Sky Disney, Lucasfilm will remaster in 3-D and re-release Indiana Jones in theaters. Next month, Lucasfilm will announce that they're converting the Indiana Jones Saga to 3D as well. Paranormal Activity 2 Breaks Records
Paranormal Activity 2 scared up $41.5 million for the weekend and in the process broke the record for a horror film in October. It also becomes the highest grossing opening weekend for supernatural-themed horror ever. The total includes $6.3 million that came from midnight showings on Thursday night which again was another record as the most for an R rated film. Good news for fans of Battlestar Galactica as a second spin-off series is in the works. The first, Caprica, is currently in the second half of its first season on SyFy but low ratings have put it at risk of being canceled.
