    Fox has revealed their mid-season lineup of programming which starts being instituted in mid-January. The return of American Idol and the premiere of The Chicago Code headline the new shows coming in. Fringe will move to Friday nights which is not a good sign for its hopes of being renewed. Hopefully the fan base will follow it there, plus it has always been one of the strongest shows in DVR numbers so the move may not hurt the ratings too much.   • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 Starts Strong With Midnight Shows

    While it didn't turn out to be record breaking as some were anticipating, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 turned in the highest gross for the series from the opening midnight showings. The movie made $24 million which places it third highest in history behind just Twilight: Eclipse and Twilight: New Moon. The projection for the full weekend is now around $135 million.     The search is on for the next actor to play Superman in the upcoming reboot. According to Deadline the studio is looking for an actor in the 28-32 age range that is either an unknown or comes from television. As of now the only name confirmed to be in the running is Joe Manganiello (True Blood) who stated he is being considered.     The first trailer for Red Riding Hood has been released. The film, which stars Amanda Seyfried and Gary Oldman, is a retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood fairytale. Catherine Hardwicke directs the film, so it's no surprise the trailer is similar to what we've seen in the 'Twilight' films. Red Riding Hood will hit theaters in March 2011. (more…)...

    A teaser trailer for the comic book adaptation Cowboys & Aliens has arrived. The sci-fi western deals with an alien invasion that forces the opposing sides of Cowboys and Indians to come together in an effort to fight them off. The movie stars Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, and Sam Rockwell and is directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man). Cowboys & Aliens is slated to release on July 29th 2011. ...

    The first trailer for Green Lantern has made its way out in advance of playing in front of screens showing Harry Potter which opens on Friday. The comic adaptation centers on Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds), a test pilot who is given a ring that provides him powers as well as his entry into an intergalactic squadron tasked with policing the universe.     The first trailer for Pixar's Cars 2 has now been released. Despite being considered one of the weakest of Pixar's crop of films the original Cars went on to make $244 million domestically and $460 million total worldwide.
