A new full-length trailer for the intense action movie Battle: Los Angeles has arrived. The film stars Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez and centers on a marine platoon attempting to fend off an alien invasion in LA. It takes on a very focused perspective being up close and personal with just that single platoon in one city in what is a much wider scale invasion taking place. Battle: Los Angeles is slated to release on March 11th. ...

Back in early October the Fox comedy Raising Hope became the first new series of the fall to get a full season order. Now Raising Hope is the first to get renewed for a second season. The series centers on a young guy that gets stuck with a baby and his somewhat dysfunctional family that helps him out. It is the highest rated new show for Fox averaging a 3.0 18-49 rating. Raising Hope quickly became one of my favorite comedies currently on network TV, right up there with Community and Mo...

Sunday was a big night for premieres as NBC debuted The Cape, Fox rolled out a new animated series Bob's Burgers, and Showtime kicked off Shameless and Episodes along with the fourth season of Californication. The superhero themed series The Cape drew decent ratings with 8.6 million viewers and a 2.6 18-49 rating. Those numbers aren't great but for struggling NBC it is a good showing. Also encouraging is that the numbers were stable throughout the two hours which could be an indication that...

True Grit was able to overtake Little Fockers for the top spot at the box office this weekend. The only new release, Season of the Witch, came in third with a decent result considering how poorly the film is being received. The Coen Bros. western remake of True Grit came in #1 after two weeks of being the runner-up and in the process has crossed the $100 million mark. With $15 million this weekend it now sits at a total of $110 million. Budgeted at just $38 million the film becoming a mains...
