    The first look at The Hobbit comes from Entertainment Weekly as the two movies are currently being filmed. The pictures feature Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and Ian McKellan as he returns to his Lord of the Rings role of Gandolf.     Earlier this month Warner Bros. made it known that they would have to digitally alter the face tattoo on Ed Helms' character Stu in The Hangover: Part II if a legal dispute with the man who held a copyright on the design could not be resolved in time. Today though the studio announced a settlement with S. Victor Whitmill for an undisclosed amount and no changes will have to be made in the film.     The first trailer for Moneyball has arrived. Based on the book of the same name from Michael Lewis, the story centers on Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane and his use of statistical analysis to put together a winning team with a low budget.     Director J.J. Abrams crafted a marketing campaign for Super 8 that attempted to disguise much of the plot and create mystery around the monster reveal. Wanting to respect that and experience it the way it was intended I entered the film having actively tried to avoid as much information on the film as possible. Super 8 is a call-back to some great films of the past and evokes a certain level of emotion rarely touched on in today's cinema. (more…)...

    According to Variety Russell Crowe is in talks to take on the role of Jor-El in the Superman reboot Man of Steel. Jor-El is father to Kal-El (Superman) and a scientist on the planet Krypton who foresees the planet's fate and saves his son by sending him to Earth. Crowe would join Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Kevin Costner (Johnathan 'Pa' Kent), and Diane Lane (Martha 'Ma' Kent) as the primary cast members announced so far.     The Licensing International Expo is taking place right now in Las Vegas and that is where many properties end up displaying the first look at new artwork.     Warner Brothers today filed papers in court indicating they intend to change the tattoo featured on the face of the Ed Helms' character Stu for the home video release of The Hangover: Part II. The studio has been embroiled in court battle over a copyright claim from the man who created the original tattoo for Mike Tyson.
