    Captain America has one of the stronger origin stories in the Marvel universe. That resulted in hope for the project which despite some concerns along the way holds even more importance considering it acts as the lead-in to The Avengers. Going back to a different period with World War II allowed the story to escape some of the SHIELD pitfalls that resulted in criticism in the others while establishing an emotional component given where the story inevitably heads.  (more…)...

    In advance of its Comic-Con panel set for Friday Sony has just released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming reboot The Amazing Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) has taken over the role of Peter Parker with Emma Stone as love interest Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as villain Dr. Curt Connors (aka The Lizard).     The NBC/DirecTV series Friday Night Lights may get a chance to continue on the big screen. Its fifth and final season recently came to a close with a very satisfying ending but the story could go on if creator Peter Berg can get the project in motion.     Being attached to screens of Harry Potter brought the debut of the first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. Warner Bros. has now released the trailer online.     With its midnight showings Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 raked in $43.5 million which shatters the previous record holder The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's $30 million from June 2010. Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has already made over $100 million worldwide.
