Fox to Begin Selling Early Copies of Films Through Digital Download Program
Fox has announced a new initiative to sell films as digital downloads for $15 several weeks in advance of them reaching release on Blu-ray, DVD, or video-on-demand. The first movie to fall under it will be Prometheus which will be made available for download on September 18 before reaching consumers through other avenues on October 11. Amazon has announced that two new deals have been signed delivering even more content to their streaming service which offers selected content for free to Amazon Prime members. The first is with EPIX which brings movies from Paramount, MGM, and Lionsgate.
