As expected Zombieland opened big on Friday raking in 9.4 million. That is slightly above industry expectations which had the movie finishing the weekend in the 18-20 range. The first day totals should represent a higher percent of its weekend take than the norm as the opening Friday night is always the heaviest for a movie such as this. However good word of mouth will keep it solid through the weekend and going forward. Zombieland will complete the weekend with about 24 million very close t...

In what appears to be the most insane disaster movie ever if the trailer and this five minute clip from the movie are any indication, 2012 is gearing up for its release on November 13th. The latest promotion was a two minute excerpt of the movie that aired on all the major networks last night which as a tactic is unheard of. That excerpt has been expanded in the five minute piece from the film. Director Roland Emmerich is looking to top his previous films which include Independence Day and T...

A bunch of new movies hit theaters this weekend that have their own unique appeal. Surprisingly they are all getting decent to great reviews as well. After a few weeks of mediocre offerings this weekend brings something for everyone. In a world overrun by zombies bands of humans fight for their ability to survive in Zombieland. This isn't as much a horror movie as it is a comedy however, which is a good thing considering all the recent scary movie fare that has come out. Marketing has bee...

Since being announced, we haven't heard much positive news concerning the release of Seth Rogen's The Green Hornet. At one point I wondered if the film would even be made when you consider how much has gone wrong early on. Today, Splash News has posted an exclusive behind the scenes video. The video gives a glimpse of what the costumes of the Green Hornet and sidekick Kato will look like and you can watch it here. Scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2010, The Green Hornet stars Se...
