Battlestar Galactica: The Plan
Though the Sci-Fi series Battlestar Galactica ended early this year it has lived on through spin-offs. First was Caprica which released as a standalone movie back in April to kick start the series for the network now known as SyFy. Caprica is essentially the origin story which goes back to life on the planet and the creation of the Cylons. Caprica is slated to have its series premiere on January 10th 2010.
Next to come is Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. Every episode of the series began w...

Despite it being October, there are many Christmas movies being released this week. Jack Black fans may also think Christmas has come early with Year One hitting stores. I don't think I know anyone who said they enjoyed watching it though.

Green Lantern Coming in 2011
It looks like Ryan Reynolds will be working overtime as a comic book hero. Reynolds briefly mentioned his role as Wade Wilson in a Deadpool spin-off on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Now we finally have a release date for Green Lantern, DC Comics' highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of its popular comic book.
The film will release June 17, 2011, putting it in competition with other summer comic blockbusters releasing that same year. We'll have Spider-Man 4 in May and The First Aveng...

Though it has been long rumored and known likely to happen it wasn't until today that it was confirmed to be officially in the works. The director will be the creator of the show Mitchell Hurwitz and not Ron Howard which was rumored as of late. Howard was the producer of the show and narrator throu...

Review: Zombieland
Zombieland originally began as a television series pitch but all the networks turned it down. While there is no way to know if it would've succeeded on TV, the concept evolved into an ideal standalone movie and potentially a franchise. Vampires have seen a resurgence as of late but zombies have always been a popular. Zombieland takes the concept seen in many horror films but with a heavy comedic slant.

I bet you thought you had seen the last of Jigsaw, didn’t you? Well think again. Later this month he’s back in Saw VI. Yahoo! has posted an exclusive trailer. I think I had seen enough of the gruesome and painful game after Saw II. When I saw there was going to be a part VI, I really couldn't believe it. What do you think? Is this something you're going to see?

Latest Trailer for Up in the Air
Last year Slumdog Millionaire came out of the Telluride Movie Festival with buzz behind it that continued through release and eventually led all the way to a Best Picture win at the Academy Awards. 2009's film that could be on the same track is Up in the Air. Based on the book of the same name it stars George Clooney as a corporate downsizer that spends the majority of his life traveling. Clooney appears to be positioned for at least a nomination for Best Actor and could be a serious contend...
