The Crazies Trailer
The Crazies is a remake of the 1973 film by the same name from George A. Romero. A small town in Iowa suddenly sees residents going insane due to a contamination in the water supply. I saw this trailer yesterday Friday as it was attached to Law Abiding Citizen. It has an immediate vibe similar to The Happening but with the people getting aggressive instead of suicidal. The Crazies is slated to release on February 26th 2010.

10/16 Box Office Results
This is shaping up to be a huge weekend for the movie industry. All three major releases and the expansion of another would be considered successes based on their Friday take.
Where the Wild Things Are opened big on Friday with a take of 12 million. The usual 3X multiplier would be a little on the low side considering the demo the movie appeals to and the relatively good word of mouth the film is receiving. WTWTA looks as though it will finish the weekend with about 38 million which is ri...
Raimi to Get Back to Basics for Spider-Man 4
Spiderman Director Sam Raimi was interviewed by the Coventry Telegraph and was asked about Spider-Man 4.
Raimi was asked about the complaints that there were too many villains in Spider-Man 3, and he agreed saying "I think having so many villains detracted from the experience. I would agree with the criticism." He went on to say:
"I think I've learned about the importance of getting to the point and the importance of having limitations, and I'm hoping to take that into a production where...
Review: Law Abiding Citizen
I've always been drawn to revenge movies, those where the main character has nothing to lose and goes on a rampage. Thus is the premise of Law Abiding Citizen as Clyde Shelton (played by Gerard Butler) sees his wife and daughter killed. The prosecutor Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) cuts a deal that results in one of the two murderers facing the death penalty. The other was flipped to ensure that but in doing so received only a few years. For Clyde this is far from being the justice he sought and tha...
Box Office Predictions 10/16/09
Last weekend Couples Retreat was the only wide release. The movie was disappointing but it was able to pull in 34 million showing the draw of a simple comedy with a well-liked cast. This weekend though brings a wildly unique film along with action and suspense offerings.
Where the Wild Things Are, the adaptation so famous short children's book, will certainly top the charts this weekend. While this is by no means a traditional kids movie it does have expanded appeal across all demos. The ...

Jon Favreau Will Not Direct The Avengers
With the current and coming crop of Marvel superhero movies leading up to them combining forces in The Avengers, common thought was that Jon Favreau would take the project on as director. Favreau was the one who sculpted Iron Man and created a believable world wherein all the heroes could unite. He currently is working on Iron Man 2 which will release next summer while The Avengers will be out in summer 2012.
In an interview with MTV Favreau states that he will not be the director for The...
