At the UK premiere of Invictus last night Matt Damon was asked about the current status of Bourne 4. There have been some rocky developments specifically Paul Greengrass departing from the project and that there is still no script in hand. Damon responded by dropping speculation such as a prequel or reboot being more likely than the fourth installment of the franchise happening in the near future. “There’ll probably be a prequel of some kind with another actor and another directo...

Avatar won its seventh straight weekend easily while the two new entries performed right on with the predictions. Avatar now owns the record for highest weekend gross for every weekend except its first. It will pass Titanic for the all time domestic record this coming week and cruise past $2 billion worldwide. The movie centers on an average guy who meets the perfect woman but his insecurities and the influence of his friends and family being to wear away at the relationship. I actually found the standard trailer to be rather funny despite the limitations for a movie of this kind in attempting to present itself. This one though adds in the language and a few new scenes making it worth the watch. She's Out of My League is...

This could be the third straight week where a movie opens strong but still can't unseat Avatar which will probably remain in the top spot as it has for all seven weekends it has been out. Mel Gibson headlines a movie for the first time since 2002 with Edge of Darkness while When in Rome goes for the light romantic comedy crowd. Could Edge of Darkness unseat Avatar? The R rated thriller has a shot but it doesn't seem likely. There is definitely interest in seeing Mel Gibson again as he hasn'...
