Teaser Trailer for The Social Network
Columbia Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for The Social Network. An adaptation of the novel based on the main players behind the founding of Facebook the film is directed by David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, Benjamin Button). Word is that the script is excellent (it was written by Aaron Sorkin) and the novel was highly regarded to begin with but having Fincher behind it adds even more credibility. The Social Network stars Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Justin Timberlake a...
Peter Jackson May Direct The Hobbit
Ever since Guillermo Del Toro dropped out as director for The Hobbit (which will be broken into two films) there has been a great level of speculation as to who would take over. Now comes the news that Peter Jackson is in negotiation to become the new director.
Jackson, having headed up the Lord of the Rings trilogy, has obvious ties to the project. His role as executive producer was thought to provide him the opportunity to work on other films, however if he does end up taking on The Hobbi...
Trailer for Little Fockers
Universal has released the first trailer for Little Fockers. The film follows up Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers with this entry that introduces children to the Focker family. All the usual suspects are back along with a few new additions including Jessica Alba. I was surprised when I realized Meet the Parents was released all the way back in 2000 and Meet the Fockers in 2004. The two combined to gross nearly $450 million domestically.
The test of wills between Jack Byrnes (Robert De Ni...

Review: Knight and Day
I was initially drawn to the Knight and Day based largely on how it appeared to offer a vibe similar to that of one of my all-time favorites Grosse Pointe Blank. That subtle/dark humor that has a main character acting so calm and confident through even the most ridiculous of situations while maintaining that all of it is pretty much normal is at the heart of both films. It works just as well here as it did back then though in a much more action-packed scenario.
In Knight and Day the main ch...
International Trailer for Predators
A brand new international trailer for Predators has made its way out and it provides easily the best look at the film yet. Starring Adrian Brody, Topher Grace, and Laurence Fishburne, Predators is directed by Nimrod Antal (Armored, Vacancy) and produced by Robert Rodriguez. The story finds a group of elite warriors kidnapped and dropped on an alien planet as part of a game where they are being hunted. Predators is slated to release on July 9th.

Freida Pinto & John Lithgow Join Cast of ‘Rise of the Apes’‎
Since the announcement last month that a Planet of the Apes prequel was in the works, we haven't heard much else. We do know that James Franco will play the lead role, and now The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Frieda Pinto and John Lithgow have joined the cast.
Rupert Wyatt will direct the feature, which focuses on a scientist (Franco) who has been working on a cure for Alzheimer's that is being tested on apes. The test subject named Caesar evolves rapidly, and the scientist takes h...
