    With two teaser trailers having already hit for The Social Network (those can be found through the tag page) Columbia Pictures today released the full theatrical trailer. The considerable buzz continues to build on this film with the effective teasers and now this excellent trailer.   • First Image of Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern

    Entertainment Weekly has released the cover of their latest edition which features the first look at Ryan Reynolds as The Green Lantern. Set photos have only shown Reynolds wearing a gray visual effects suit. That is because the costume will be completely computer generated. Expect the look to be put more on display at Comic-Con next week. The Green Lantern is slated to release June 17 2011. ...

    Warner Brothers has released the first trailer for Due Date. The film stars Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis and is directed by Todd Phillips (The Hangover). In Due Date a soon-to-be father (Downey Jr.) has to hitch a ride with an aspiring actor (Galifianakis) in order to make it back in time for the birth of his child.   • Thor and Captain America Going 3D; First Image of Anthony Hopkins as Odin

    The first official image of Anthony Hopkins as Odin in Thor has been released. In the background you can also see Chris Hemsworth as Thor, for the first time holding his hammer, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Marvel has also announced that both Thor and Captain America will be released in 3D. Audiences have turned on post-conversion 3D this year and the percentage of gross attributed to 3D screens has been dropping with each release.     Universal has released the first trailer for the M. Night Shyamalan created Devil. The movie is directed by Drew and John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine) with a story that involves five people getting stuck on an elevator, the Devil being amongst them.     The expectations that come with following up one of the most successful movies of all time, both in terms of box office and critical response, would seem to set up the potential to be let down. Christoper Nolan could have had his choice of projects after The Dark Knight, however he decided to go with his own original project with Inception. In doing so Nolan has delivered a brilliantly crafted psychological thriller that is rich and challenging without being overwhelming. (more…)...
